Simons Place Sainte-Foy

  • End date of the work: 2010
  • Location: Québec, QC
  • Cost of construction: 50M$
  • Project description:

The La Maison Simons store project was carried out in two phases, the first of which represented an expansion of 65,000 ft² spread over 4 floors and the second of which consisted in the complete renovation of the existing store of 55,000 ft². In the first phase, roof units with an enthalpy core energy recovery system were installed as well as two Mitsubishi City Multi systems that allow heat recovery from one area to another without having to operate the condensers. In the second phase, the roof units were replaced by new units with heat recovery type heat recovery. In addition to this replacement of units, their capacities have been reduced in order to avoid overconsumption of energy. For each of the two phases, a significant energy reduction was applied with regard to the choice of luminaires in order to reduce the energy consumption from 7.5 W / ft² to 2.8 W / ft².
