  • End date of the work: 2018
  • Location: Montréal, QC
  • Cost of construction: 6.5M$
  • Project description:

This building is the property of the Montreal Housing and Development Corporation (SHDM) and houses the Jean-Marie-Gauvreau Center (CJMG) which is mainly occupied by many artistic companies and cultural businesses. This project was carried out in two phases, the first of which consists of the refitting of all the bathrooms located upstairs, the addition of ventilation in the corridors as well as the lighting of the floors while phase II resulted in a major redevelopment of the ground floor, including the 166-seat auditorium, exhibition halls, a café, an entertainment room and administrative spaces. The use of heat pumps and heat exchangers have improved the energy efficiency of this heritage building.
