The GreenField Ethanol administrative building is a 1,000 m² building composed of a steel structure and a brick cladding. This administrative building includes office space, a conference room, changing rooms and mechanical space. The radiant floor heating system allows the use of residual heat in the plant. The ventilation meets ASHRAE 62.1 and 55 standards. The lighting system demonstrates good efficiency and includes motion detectors, the use of natural light and fluorescent lights on dimmers. HVAC systems recover heat from exhaust air and use high efficiency heat pumps. This building received a PEBC grant for energy efficiency of more than 35% compared to a similar building according to the CMNEB code.
